Can this tire be fixed??? vulcanized??
« on: October 25, 2013, 04:37:55 PM »
hey all,
i have a bfg mud terrain KM1 tire that is harder and harder to come by these days.
it holds air without a problem but has a big gash in the tread.
can it be fixed?

not sure exactly how that happened.
bought the five tires and rims as is.
the spare was the same tire so i figured i was buying four tires.
i assume a high speed accident because one of the rims was bent and had a drum brake and axle end still attached to it (not the rim with this tire)

Have melted an oversize tire before by the exhaust pipe underneath.

I would like to run it as a spare, but in this scenario my spare would have to run the same distance as my other tires.
not just from Mclean back to Calgary.
more like from Calgary to Montreal, or Vancouver, etc
