Looking for some experience with the XJs as far as the resistor pack for the heater blower. I had changed the blower and resistor pack in the jeep after it had blown earlier this winter (Blower was working on max air but no lower settings) I replaced the blower motor and resistor and everything worked fine. After the big wind/snow last Friday, when the jeep was started, the blower would not turn at all. (Even on max.) I pulled it into the garage and let it thaw out. The heater worked after that on max only so it seems the resistors have gone again. Both the first time and this time it seems the blower/heater ducting gets full of snow with the wind. From what I can tell there is no cabin filters on these units and suspect the water in the system is shorting out the resistor packs. Wondering if anyone else has this experience and knows of a fix or if there is another reason the resistor pack has gone twice on me. Thanks in advance.
