rpm drop/hesitaton around 2k RMP
« on: July 04, 2014, 10:44:20 AM »
happened on the way to work today (its really nice here, figured i'd take the swamper-footed YJ to work so the coworkers could gawk haha)
anyways on highway in 4th@2000 rpm, jeep felt like it 'slipped' a couple times, and the RPMs drop. it didn't buck or jump, just felt like it slipped. barely noticable but most of us notice everything.
pulled codes when i got to work, nothing out of the ordinary.

i haven't replaced any sensors on the jeep since i got it, so who knows whats new and whats not. i've had an idle issue a few times on the trail as well where when i come to a stop at a downhill it just stalled, so i am thinking the TPS is on its way out even though there are no stored codes.

i'm at my desk analyzing this right now which we all know is kind of stupid... i'm heading home after work to start diagnosing. just wondering if some of you fellas might know something else to look for, cause c'mon, its a jeep, its never as simple as just one sensor.

i guess, also, if you assume its vacuum related, how to i check that..... of all the stuff i've had go wrong, its never been vacuum related.
i've got a few spare MAP sensors kicking around and i'm not against replacing IAC and TPS for future peace of mind, but i hate throwing parts at things.

also new pugs/wires/cap/rotor done when bought it as i usually do with any new jeep i pick up
