Looks like the alternator on my 98 XJ is toast. What should I replace it with ? Are there aftermarket ones out there that are better ?

Talk to AmperageTech / Electrical Guys. They will rebuilt a kick arse alternator for a very good price.

Definitely go with the guys above, got mine done there three weeks ago, awesome service really quick. They boost the alternator from the stock 105amps to 170amps and do a couple extra mods to keep the grim and dirt out.

Ordered my new alternator today. Raymond was a big help and a great guy. 130A at idle.
