Glass Shops in town
« on: October 16, 2014, 08:39:36 PM »
Some douchebag decided he wanted my old XJ and busted the quarter window on the rear door...fortunately my manual locks are seized and he couldn't open the door :D  He then went onto the lock and failed again...what a loser.

Anyway it's not worth putting through insurance so does anyone recommend a decent shop to replace that little window?

Thanks in advance fellers

Not too familiar with the rears, but it Might just be a frame that bolts down inside the door in a channel that comes out... Could probably do it yourself and save the exorbitant price that a shop will charge for the specialty glass. Wrecker would probably have tons of those windows too if thats the case.
I did a Google search for "hot trannies" but nothing came up about oil coolers  :o

Worrying too much about mpg with a Jeep is similar to worrying about your sister's virginity. An ok thing to be concerned about but...

Yep they are not too terrible to replace, I swapped mine out last year. I have a rear door with the glass in it if you want to snag the little window Marty

Right on, thanks Jonas!  Is it tinted by any chance?

It is tinted, but it may be the crappy tire tint that has a purple hue depending what side you need...... drivers or pass?
