halfway home boys. Fraser and i painted half the garage yesterday; used white like you said Jonas.
its 100% better now.  hopefully get the other side done tonight and tomorrow. then its one to fix shelving and make it nice and super clean.  going to be a brand new garage when i'm done with it which is nice.

Gloss white will brighten things up. Stripper posters and Riders flags should make it feel like home

well pics aren't the greatest but she's done. all painted up. two coats. nothing fancy or crazy. but man is it bright in there.  i still have to do shelving even though its not needed it will be in the future haha.

overall cost:
heater 200$
wire 220a 150$
lighting 175$
paint and shelving 250$
additional insulation for door, gap filler etc. 100$
so overall not bad. best mod i've done to date..... and its good because the clutch just gave out on the YJ, so at least i have a warm place to fix it!

there is a garbage pile in the corner still, but it will go out soon; just to cold to open the garage don't want to let the heat out LOL.

thanks boys.  it is definitely nice to work in there now!

What did you use for lights? Cost? The ones in my garage are dying and need replacing.

just the cheap ones at home depot. they take a T8 bulb.  i got the daytime light bulbs. they put out like 6500 lumens or something.  light fixtures were 25$ a piece, bulbs 10$

very nice. what did you use for the garage doors? is it that bubble stuff from homedepot? and is it actually working good? I was planning on using that stuff.

just the basic 1" insulation you buy at home depot in 8x4' sheets. cut it up, then used teh spray foam to fill in all the gaps i can see in the door. in teh metal, between the insulation etc. its not as good as a real insulated door and looks kind of ugly. but gets the job done
