finally did up my garage
« on: December 30, 2014, 09:18:30 AM »
i don't know why i waited so long to do this. i look back at all the work i did with a stupid propane heater and next to no light.

now have garage wired for 220a, a 21k BTU heater which keeps her fairly toasty, and full lighting makes it so bright in there i barely need a treble light under the jeep.   my christmas gift to me!

Trust me and paint the walls, the drywall just keeps getting more and more yellow every year. I painted my walls and it made a huge difference in how the light is reflected.

Looking good! Don't get things too organized or your wife will want to park in there too, haha. I want to get drywall up in mine but that'll be a project for next year since I added the NG line and heater this month.

I painted mine semi-gloss white and would do it again. It's a good compromise of wipe-ability and hide the crappy taping/sanding job. Gloss will definitely clean up easier but will show every imperfection in the finish (if that type of thing bothers you at all, it does me).
I just went to the Depot and asked for a good durable paint, can't remember what they gave me.

Yep. Semi-gloss, slightly off-white. Use exterior paint so it really holds up.
