Project X
« on: April 06, 2015, 12:25:32 PM »
I bought this jeep with 150,000kms on it about 5 years ago, just a nice little stocker:

Then came the one tons (Dana 60 and 14 bolt, 5.38 gears, locked, coilovers, etc.) most important was the 75hp shot of nitrous on the stock 4.0L:

Raced in Canada, won some comps, it did well:

Then I rolled it and twisted the frame:

So then I started re-building:

And threw in a 6.0L 4l80, np241, etc:

And snakeskin green paint, cuz why not....

Then rolled it 4 times in 2 races (sweet 2wd endo video from Busted Knuckle):

Then naturally, decided more tube and bigger tires are in order. I borrowed a friends bender and got to work:

Then decided I hate that design, and started again:

This is as far as I have got so far. My first competition is at the end of may. Lots of work to do before then.

Your new cage design makes it look fast even when it's sitting still! Nice work!

Thanks guys, I bought a bender now too. If anyone needs a cage, give me a call. Building one for Klappy too, will post pics when that's done.
