installin the RE lift finally, got to the brake lines, and am supposed to swap them out for RE extended ones. however, can't get the things to budge, wont come out. anyone have a suggestion? i've already stripped the bolt on the metal brake line (vice grips slid off.... i know stupid)
can we just cut them off or something and attach another end on it which we can screw into the new brake lines?
need help with this if anyone has a suggestion. as it stands we're gonna put the front end back together and start the rear. worst comes to worst, tow it to dodge or somethin after the weekend ( i don't want to do this, but i'm not gonna let the jeep just sit there half done)

I had this exact problem a few months ago and ended up stripping out the nut, I fortunatly was able to get it off via vise grips but there is no chance that they will ever come off again. There is a special wrench that will take off the bolt becuase the 1/4 or whatever was a bit too big.

i checked out that link. i will pick up a flare wrench tomorrow, no prob. however, for the one nut thats fubared, what should i do? where would i get the couplers and end flares? to basically cut the one hose and replace the end (to connect into my longer lines?)

When I redo my current rig or build a new one, thats the stuff I'll use to do my brake lines. From stainless steel tubing to nut/ferrule connections, they've got it all. I'm sure they even have braided flex hoses. Their stuff is used extensively in the oil/gas industry. So I'm pretty sure it'll handle the pressures required by automotive brakes. Though it might be overkill. That's the stuff that I know *should* work.

just reflared the lines, no prob, took some time, but i think it'll work good.
