Found you guys just by a quick google. I picked up a 97 Cherokee XJ a few weeks back and enjoy the quirkyness of a Jeep.

4.0 / AW4 / D30 / 8.25

Will be looking to do a AW4 to AX15 in the New Year sometime.

Welcome to the forum, you find quite a few members with XJ’s built from mild to wild.

Thanks guys. I'd like to think I could move pretty quick with this as I sometimes do but unfortunately its a slow boat for this little jeep. My main focus at the moment is just ensuring its running good.

Your Xj is a good platform to wheel and build off of. If everything is working properly don't be afraid to get out on a trail run with us. Make sure you have solid tow points front and rear and you're ready to go.

Yah working on that. Front is a bit more difficult but the rear I may have a hitch lined up.

You could use a set of YJ tow hooks and bolt them on using the existing front swaybar attachments, just need longer grade 8 bolts.
Quick, cheap and easy.

Another XJ brother!! You'll enjoy the extra room in a "wagon". Don't let these fools razz you about the lack of frame. The unibody is good for another 30% flex.
if we were smart with our money we wouldn't own Jeeps.
Here's your cup of STFU... ENJOY!

Yah I was looking at a tj/yj but having a dog I wanted something with better comfort so got the Xj. I know all about the flex and if it really becomes an issue I will put stiffeners on.
