Yes, I did about a month ago just google search jeep speedo gear or something and you will get a chart with the part numbers and probably a write up or two.

Well that sounds too easy... Can I just go to a part source to pick it up???

Go to the dealer, like 30 bucks or something.  Just make sure it lines up when you put it back in, because there is 2 different positions that it can be in so it will rotate up higher for smaller gears, hard to explain but you will see when you get in there.  Its possible to do it all with a cresent wrench

Best to go to the dealer knowing exactly what you want  , they get confused and act dumb when you arrive un-prepared , resulting in you ordering or leaving with the wrong part.

There are two lengths , short and long . The difference is , the long gears are for a later two piece speedometer drive (electronic) , the short gears are used on cable drive speedos.

As for the install
Go here to see it done.......      http://4x4xplor.com/speedo.html

The stock speedo gear for 3.07 gears has 29 splines.

I have 4.56 gears and runs 33" tires... after changing my speedo gear a few times I'm happy with a 41 splines gear. It's accurate...

Cheers

Hey SWwamp singer the chart shows a 39 tooth gear for your application, so I am assuming the chart is not quite accurate?

I didn't check any charts.... 39 might be more accurate. I just tested it with other stock (or close to stock) Jeeps and it seemed accurated to me.  My testings were not exact

Mine does. It's easy to check. Look on the diff cover for a tag held on by 2 cover bolts. The axle and gearing is stamped on it.
