Ok so we have the semblance of a plan.
So here is the general plan.
last update be at the Cochrane A&W at 830 Saturday March 30th
We will head out to Waiperous and run out to Margaret Lake. A nice easy ride accessible for pretty much all Jeeps. We will stop at Margaret Lake where we will fire up the stoves and put some heat to some fine grub (Chili in case the title of the run confused you.).
Now here are some important details. If you are coming, then post up here. Also post the number of people in your rig. We need some food solid number so we know how much Chili to make.
For those of you that were around for the thanksgiving run years ago you will recall we did dinner for 40 out at Margaret and it was a great day. While we can’t replicate the past we can surely make some new memories for this one.
This is an open run so if you have friends that would like to make the run then please invite them out.
So some things that you need to know and think of bringing.
- Chairs (if you wanna sit bring a chair)
- Chili - if you want to put your Chili up against the SilverFox Boiler Maker Chili then please do, the more the merrier. Just give us a sense of how much you can bring.
- Dry fire wood. If you can bring a few sticks of dry firewood it makes it easier to have a nice fire or two to hang around.
- Drinks. If you want something to drink then be sure to bring it. No booze on the trails though so don’t bring it.
This is a family friendly run so bring the kids the wife/girlfriend the dog the family goldfish whatever you want we won’t judge (ok we probably will judge a little bit)
Please post up and let us know what if anything you can/want to bring. There is no expectation to bring anything other than a good attitude and a desire to have a good day but if you can then here are some things that we would want/need.
Chili - make your best and bring it out for people to try
Chairs - if you can bring an extra or two then great
Fire wood
Cutlery - plastic spoons work for me
Bowls - paper chinette works for me I am not washing dishes in the bush
Hillbilly napkins (rolls of paper towels)
Buns - some nice bread to go with the Chili
Cookstove - something to heat the Chili with
Garbage bags
That’s kinda all I can think of off the top of my head.
I will bring a big ole pot of Chili and my burner and propane to heat it with.
So far here is the list.
SilverFox and 2 passengers
- Chili
- Cookstove
- Propane
- Bowls
- Spoons
- Garbage Bags
Let’s make this one epic. Looking foreword to seeing you on the trails.
