Annual Chilli Run
« on: March 17, 2022, 11:48:22 AM »
See Gluktar’s run below, we’re going to roll out on March 26th.  There will be tons of chilli and a fire.  Should be good times, post up if you’re going to be there so I can get a head count.

Meet up 9am at the west side A&W in Cochrane.

Jen and I are in. Hopefully we don't scare away Stuarts friends!  ;) I'm not a huge chili person but will try it out,  Jen will have some. I'll bring some hotdogs to do over the fire too.

Should be a good day to relax and do a bit of exploring for those who want to venture down to the riverbed. Let me know if there is anything else I can bring other than a couple of totes of firewood.

We will see if any of my friends can make it. Seems like they are note prioritizing properly  ;D

I have found that going left after the big hill has some nice spots for a camp fire. Dead trees are hard to find so bringing some firewood will be nice. I will of course bring my new chainsaw just for the excuse to use it. Here is a like to a pic of the first tree I cut down. Not only did it not fall over like it looks like it should, it fell in the wrong direction of course, and then got hung up on another tree. Then I ran out of gas. That is why the logs are a little big in the second pic.  But the fire worked and the sun was shining.

Hopefully your friends come out. It should be a nice day to sit back or do a little exploring. I mean if Subaru's can make it down there anyone should be able to. There are lots of places to roam around on the riverbed for people of all skill levels.

I have 2 bags of firewood in the garage I'll bring. I can pick up a couple more too just in case the trees around are a bit wet. I don't have a splitting axe so someone should bring one.

I will be there.  I am thinking I may go out Friday night and camp.  Is there anyone that would be interested in going out Friday afternoon/evening?

Typical staging at the ‘Dub, west side of Cochrane? What time??
Still not 100% in as the latest grandson is coming into the world very soon; but will try to meet up for part of the day.
(I mean I gotta test out the new lift right?)

Congrats on the new addition to the family! I'm sure the kiddo will have an electric Jeep one day.
