I have a a cv driveshaft with 1310 series u joints. Built by dsi. It is making a nasty noise that I have determined to be coming from the upper cv end. The part where the ball is is making the noise. Does anyone know what all should be replaced when repairing this joint. I am unsure of the terminology of all the parts never having worked on a cv equipped vehicle.
Below are the parts that are in the shaft:
2 28 2947 X 1310 Ball stud tube yoke
211355X 1310 Socket yoke
2 26 507 1310 center yoke
There are other parts in it but I know what they are. If it matters this is in a 1995 yj that an advance adapters short shaft kit.
I am hoping to get these parts soon but I am in the middle of my shift and DSI is closed while I am at work so I need to find a place to get the parts after 6:00 pm. I would assume Auto Value, Napa etc would carry these parts. Anyone got pictures?
