Is it fine to remove the rear trac bar (sway bar) whatever it is called??? I want more flex :lol: I already have the front sway bar disconnected.

take front and rear trackbars and front swaybar off if u want. i did. But i will be trailering mine to where ever.

if u drive it on the street everyday im not sure if u should.

In a YJ yes, and you can also remove the front track bar while you are at it.

In the summer I usually drive without my swaybar and my rear track is gone. Not too bad to drive, but no sports car

Another YJ here. 1.5 years with no rear trac bar. Can't tell if anything is different. I removed mine after doing a 2.5" lift.

Both front bars are off already!

Unless you have another means to control axle wrap, you might start spitting out u-joints

Well 2 years with now front and rear track bar and no sway bay and no problems yet.

Well it looks like it will be off by the weekend :lol: I never thought about taking the front trac bar off. Maybe I will try it and see. The only way to find out

for safety I would be conservative if driving it to the trail, I run no rear trac and swaybar disco's on the front, hard to say what would happen disco'ed on the hwy in an emergency stop as weight transfers here and there ... dont think I would like it ...

I heard a rumor the front trac bar limits articulation by 20% or something on a yj - I am thinking thats about an additional inch, removing everything wouldnt the bump stops have the final say on gains ?

disco'ed w/bump stops in place my tires just rub into the front flares about 1 inch, any more and they would be perm distored ... not good for me ...

not much flex by some stds but here is a pic of my yj with front sway disco'ed and rear trac off, you can see my rear tire is "down" sticking out past front passenger tire, I know front limits by bump stops cause they get shiney black on top ...

not sure on SOA whats limiting your flex ??

in my case pulling off the front trac bar wouldnt gain me anything cause of the bump stops which are saving my stock flares unless I'm confused .... :roll:
