This may be a stupid question, but I'm in the process of changing the engine in my 98 TJ 2.5L and I'm just about ready to pull the engine out, but I can't find out how to disconnect the fuel line. :?:
It's seems to be a all metal line, from the gas tank that is crimped onto the fuel rail on the engine.
The jeep repair manual talk about 2 kinds of fitting, "Quick Connect" & Plastic Retainer", From the sounds of it, it looks to be the "Plastic Retainer" type. But the damn thing wont budge for me.
I would like to be able to reuse this fuel line if possible, with the engine I'm putting in; in it's place (97 TJ 2.5L).
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
