Bias Plies?

I've got a stunning question  (yes, i know it's not jeep related)! that is tech nontheless

should i run bias plies on a 51 dodge power wagon?  it's mil surplus and im sick of the ndt's they came with.

i'm thinking Dayton Trans Trac because they look like the old desert dog by formula and can be studded for wintertime.
