My starter just went klickity klickity klickity klickity.

Is there anything you can upgrade to, or is the stock one just fine?

4.0l

Thanks.

Never mind, jumped the gun.  Battery, not starter.

Good excuse to toss two of them in there.

Well, maybe not two.  I decided to take the extra battery from my non-running Mercedes diesel and put it in there. 800+ CCA amps, and one big-arse battery.

Had to turn it to the same length as the jeep, extend the battery tray, and remount the fuse box higher and between the battery and the engine, instead of battery and bumper.  Also had to put in a new batter cable to the starter, and extend the cable to the PCM.

All in all, not a bad day's work for a newbie mechanic like me.  :)

I'll try to get a few pics up for critique.  ;)
