Anyone is free to post a run on the CJA forum.
The CJA definately does not endorse a trail run with this comment,

Quote

You should always have a properly equipped vehicle when off roading.
I used to have an open mind but my brains kept falling out.

As a minimum requirement you should have front and rear tow points, some recovery equipment and knowledge of it's use.

Traction mats, wheel chains, recovery straps, shovels, extra bodies to help push, whatever you can muster. If you put some effort into being self sufficient it goes a long ways toward others helping you when you really need it.

Thank you for your input.

I always take the following stuff in every run
shovels
pick and axe
tow ropes
my jeep has a 9k warn winch
tow hooks
1st aid kid
gloves
complete set of tools
battery pack for boosting
GPS
trail maps
steel beam to help to get te car out of trouble
jacks
2 way radios
CB radio
Jerry can with gas
a couple of extra bodies
and my second jeep just in case.

I guess I'll get a Traction mats for tomorrow.

I ment with:
"vehicles: any, with no requirements for in tires or equipment, just for fun "

that we are just hitting the simple trails nothing extreme. and I assume that everybody who might want to go were aware of the safty mesures. I also ment that the jeep doesn't have to have  a 7" lift,  35" mudders, rear and front lockers, winch etc.

I appreciate your comments and if I post another run I will be extremely carful with what I write, because I don't want to get anybody in trouble.

Again I apologize for my careless post.

best regards

Carlos

PD,
still, anyone who wants to go is welcome and IS RESPONSIBLE OF GETTING THEIR OWN SAFETY EQUIPMENT and in case of trouble I will try my best to help but there is no warranties.

Hey Carlos,
Everything is cool.
You just have to be a little careful when you post requirements like that, Because. What will happen is someone will show up with a bone stock 4x4 with bald tires and no safety equipment at all not even tow hooks. Then you can end up stuck in the middle of nowhere in a real jam.

I can't make it on saturday, but you are welcome to come along with us on the sunday run at maclean

cear, family first for sure!!

I hope you can make a run out with the club soon. Sounds like your rig is well equiped for the runs we do.

Ian's (TJ54) comments are well put. We've had runs in the past that didn't stipulate the bare minimums. They've been rough to say the least. You are well prepared but not everyone has the same common sense that you have.

I hope to see you one of our club runs or meetings. We meet every third wednesday of month. Next one is this Wed at the austrian Club in the NE. PM me if you need directions. No fee to check us out, buy your onw food and drink of course.

Cheers.
