Got the bender fired up and starting building a little front end setup for a buddy's CJ5. Some might recognize this old girl, its Crazy Davy's old rig.

Did a rad hoop. Still need to level it about half an inch, but you get the picture.

Added a small bush bar that surrounds the lights. I'll finish this with removable tie ins back to the hoop.

I'll post up more later.

It's sad to see anything done to Dave's old rig...it was perfect the way it was.

Your woork looks good though...a little higher on the pass. side maybe?

Yep, its level now.

We're trying to keep the ol girl as close to she always was as possible. I even put all the diamond plate back on the new windsheild frame, and ordered a few more "Big Dick's" window decals.

Most the mods we have done have been drivetrain. Ditched the welded front carrier for a detroit trutrac, brand new gears, brand new hubs, superior evolution shafts with d44 joints, fuel injected the ol 4.2, rebuilt the worn out clutch linkage that always popped, and ditched the light bar that Dave hated.

Havnt talked to Dave in a while, but I know he'd be happy to see his old rig treated so well. One of his biggest concerns when my buddy bought it was that he didnt want the jeep he loved so much to "go to some useless punks that will trash it". Daves words  :D  :D

Nice to see. Dave took great pride in that Jeep, and everyone who saw it had nothing but respect for the way he kept it.
