Yup, Recarro buckets from a a mustang GT. That's the way I'd go.

FYI...they also came in the 83 - 89 Escort GT's, EXP's and some Mrecury Lynx's and Capri's.

I did the mustang seat swap.  Easy to make it work and better than the non-reclining factory seats.  Awsome cheap mans upgrade!!!

try to find a set of sunfire GT seats in good shape......drill a few holes and there you go.  put a set in 87 YJ when I had it, and they really hold you in the seat nicely.

How much work is it to mount these into a TJ?  Mine are getting pretty rough.  This migh be a good option.

i did purchase a set of sunfure GT seats already as i read that they were a direct bolt in in to my 89 yj however they were not !  luckly for me the wreckers traded me some other parts instead. I like the looks of them but could not figure out how to make them work with out hireing someone to fabricate a bracket, which would cost too much.  Maybe i'll just half to swallow my pride and try the FORD MUSTANG buckets it hurts even to say it! lol

If any one else has any other types of seats thak work or some stock seats that they need to clear out of the garage let me know!

What do these fit?  TJ or YJ?

Does anybody know off hand what the difference between the YJ & TJ mounting is?

From the wood panelling, I'd say a Cherokee.

I guess I should be asking if YJ, TJ, & XJ seats are interchangable.  To my knowledge they aren't, however those Eddie Bauer ones look pretty sweet.  They would work nice in a TJ if they aren't too wide and don't take too much "fabrication" to get them to work.

Sorry man, just being a smarty-pants.

I've always wanted to toss the leather ZJ seats into my YJ.
