Carter YF carb choke sticking

well, i replaced the carb today, and immeadiatley noticed some more life in the old girl...one weird occurance tho...my auto/mechanical choke stuck closed when i tried to start it cold... i have a manual choke set up, but i want to run the automatic to see if it makes half a difference...

any ideas on what's causing this?

any pointers to fix this?

fixed it with a file and some time...
