Hey Jeepers

I just want to say hi, my name is Jeff and I just moved from Hamilton Ontario to Yellowknife NT.  I started an Off Road Club up here called the Blizzard Wizards - www.nwt4x4.ca and wheel a 1998 Cherokee (stock for now)

I am also the President of the Ontario Modified Vehicle Owners Council - a non profit Lobby group that works with the Governments in Ontario and across Canada to keep trails open, modifications legal and insurance fair for us enthusiast.  

I want to come down there this summer or spring and get my feet wet in Calgary and see how tough these trails are, if you want a Yellowknifer on your wheeling adventures let me know because I want to take the trip down South to where you guys are!

Well I rambled long enough, hope to see you guys soon and happy wheeling!

Welcome to the site Jeff,... :D

Give us a shout when you get to the area. Hopefully we can hook up and go wheeling on the local trails. :D There are not too many exicting trails open locally in the winter due to trail closure. There are more in the spring / summer.

Howdy Jeff,
If you get the chance to come south off the Canadian Shield, you could get together with TNT in Grande Prairie for some Jeep'n. All of my family have moved south now, but I had family in Yellowknife, Rae-Edzo, Norman Wells & Inuvik over the years, I have been up there many times. When we go on vacation we still prefer the north over the maddening hoards of people further south. :lol:

Hey Guys this sounds good!  I am Definately into more spring like weather conditions.  Let me know when you are planning some fun events and I will do my best to come there and have some fun!

Grande Prairie sounds like a blast too! and is only 12 hours south, so let me know when you are planning as well and we can go from there!

Jeff,
good to see you found the site. We have spoken before on Jeep Kings.

How much notice do you need to be able to come down here? May Long has been very nice here the past couple years in a row. Weather is hit and miss.

Day runs are the best i can do as i have crossed to the 2 wheel side and usually my long weekends are spent racing throughout Alberta. It would be great to meet up with you.

Jeff has been very intensely involved with keeping trails open in Ontario.

Nice to finally see you on here, now that I am in the same time zone as you, we will do some wheeling forsure!

Thanks for your kind words about my work in Ontario and I am still working on it as we speak.  Also I am talking with our MLA's up here and they love off roading and few people from the political arena joined my new club up here and they do not have a problem with people going off roading at all!

Anyways lets get together this spring or summer, we can figure out a good time for me to come and visit you guys and wheel in your neck of the woods!

I will pm you my info Tom, and thanks again for your help back a little while ago!
