can some one tell me what is the defens   betwean a cyl and 6 cyl t case is ?  hopfuly some one knows  thanks

I am guessing you meant to say 4 cylinder.

The only difference is that the 4 cyl versions have 21 spline input and the 4.0L have a 23 spline input due to the different trannys.  Now XJs case are clocked slightly lower than the YJs and TJs but still exactly the same

so if you have a 4 cy  t case  what do you have to do to make if work for the 6 cy

I had to swap out the input shaft to hook up to the ax 15

I took the input shaft out of my busted case and into the new one.
