Where to get my gearing done?
« on: April 10, 2007, 07:42:25 PM »
Hey I just got my 33's on my 91 yj.
Anyone know of a place where I can get some
4.56's or 4.88's put into my diffs.
And how much it usually costs for them
to do it all.

Thx

Do you have a 4 banger or 4L.  If you have a 4 banger then go with 4.88s, if you have a 4L, then go with 4.56s.  4.88s in a 4L with 33s will be very poor on the road, too steep.

As for install there is National and Modern as well and they should not be more then 6 hours per axle

You are going to be looking at roughly 2000$ for gears front and rear.

Give or take depending on what kind of deal you can get.

Talk to National, Modern,Folk automotive, or Spot here on the boards if he is interested. I do not have time for a gear job, or else I would volunteer for the work.

p.s. I recommend 4.88's regardless of what motor you run so long as you have an overdrive transmission.

Good luck
