Slip yoke eliminators

Put the 4" R E kit in last weekend
getting the 33" tires tommorow
Bad vibration from driveline. How hard is it to put the eliminator kit in???
is it something I could do in a weekend???
Where is the best place to buy the kit?


any help would be appreciated

I am guessing since you mentioned a 4" RE kit that it is a YJ, so did you shim the rear axle at all?  What about a t-case drop?

The kits are pretty easy to install, the only specialty tool you need is a pair of snap ring pliers.  However you will need a CV driveshaft after which will run you about $450-600 depending on where you get it, and you may have to cut your spring perches because you need to point the pinion yoke at the t-case yoke

Talk to National, Modern, North Shore, Hoyboyz, they all carry them.

yes I have a 95 YJ. Is there a cheaper way to try to get rid of the vibration. it only seems to be when slowing down. Also how big of a lift can you run with the eliminator kit. Someday I want to have some larger tires and if the kit will work for a larger lift it might be a good investment.

I used the shims provided with the kit and the t-case drop. Could i drop the t-case more or would that mess up other things.

I put the same lift on my 94 and had bad vibes. The shims that come with the lift are only 4 degree. I had to buy some 8 degree shims for the back and had to drop the transfercase an additional 1/2-3/4 of an inch, and the vibes are gone. Then I took the 4 degree shims and put them on the front axle to get rid of smaller vibes when I was in 4WD going down the road.
