Tranny fluid in my t-case

Can someone tell me why there could be tranny fluid in my t-case, is a tranny problem or a t-case problem....

you are supposed to have ATF in your t-case-its the oil that it takes

I don't know much but when we upgrades my t-case I had to change my output shaft seal because the gear oil from my tranny was leaking in the adaptor btwn the tranny and the t-case...

If yours is right fawqed (the way I saw you drive ..it's probably been abused like "une pute sale"  :lol: )it might be leaking in your t-case...



It's just a guess chum  :roll: .


or STOP boozing when you wrench!!  :lol:  :lol:  :lol:

I don't think you need to drop the whole tranny .... only the t-case.

Definately rear output on the trans. Cheap, just a PITA with a big ol 205.

Well the trans is brand new so it wont be the tranny seal seal im gonna drop the t-case and change the seals on the t-case, im gonna be doing that today dom

Still should be the tranny seal. That seal is what isolates the trans fluid from the adapter section. As in, regardless of how bad the t-case seals are, you shouldnt see tranny fluid in there. Hope that makes sense. It will make more sense when you get it down and look at it.

Usually it leaks at the adapter bolts as well, but if its getting into the t-case, the t-case input may need a seal as well.

I’d get both while you have things out. Should only be about 6$ each.

The tranny one is literally 30 seconds to do once you have the t-case off. It could have been pinched when you put the t-case in, or just a defective seal.

the tranny is brand new, the tranny fluid in the t-case is from the previous install not this one as i havent put fluid in the tranny yet...

I was hoping that I wouldnt have to pull my t-case off, so if it was a problem with the old tranny then I wouldnt have to pull the t-case.

It was a beautiful day for a drive to Crossfield. Bonnie wanted drive her Rubi w/o the top and I wanted a Kokanee.  :wink:
