Zerk fittings
« on: August 05, 2005, 07:55:57 PM »
After washing "most" of the mud off the YJ, I broke out the grease gun. Everything is good except for one of the Zerks on the steering puked the grease right back out the fitting. Looked like grease spaghetti. Anyway, will the standard zerk fittings I saw at Canadian Tire pop right in there and fix this? Is the thread pretty standard?

OK, maybe I was misunderstood. When I went to Crappy Tire there were dozens of fittings. The fittings for the Jeep are 1/4" - 28 Taper thread.

There are metric and standerd grease fittings, so yes, your Jeep takes standerd grease fittings.  :D
