clutch not disengaging

while i was driving back from maclean this weekend i felt my clutch go really soft then a day later i'm having problems gettting into gear with all gears. it fells like my clutch isn't disegaging all the way. 1st gear is really hard to get then the others is a bit of grinding then you can force it in.
i have a 2000 sahara, so i think i have a hyrdaulic clutch but don't really know where to start trouble shootin it.

Fluid level?

Have you checked your fluid level?  If it is ok either the clutch or slave cylinder internal seal is toast.  You could have air in the system but it is a sealed system and there should be no where to get air in the system unless something is broken....

Have you checked if there is mud in the clutch itself. This happend to me lat year in my 05 unlimited. Was hard getting it into gear then started slipping. I dunno about your clutch but mine has an open cowleing on top for mud to fall into. I dunno if this helps at all.

Also you might want to check the slave cyl.   make sure it is tight and not sloppy
