Post long weekend clean up

The trail project comitee is having a couple of post long weekend clean ups this Sat. May 26. Volunteers are asked to meet at the store in Mclean creek at 10 am for the clean up in that area. Or if you prefer, volunteers will be meeting at the Waiparous valley rd and the forestry trunk rd at 10 am as well. Contact the staff at Evolution Machining & Fabrication for details on the Mclean clean up at 236-3545. For info on the Ghost/Waiparous clean up, contact Cody Auclair at 703-8881.

Thanks Tim for the post and to be part of the organisation that will be cleaning out theses areas.

Most of us will be down South for the 2nd week-end in a row trying to get the area clean up after the mess of the long week-end. If we have to go back for a 3rd clean up (I hope not  :roll: )... we will.

*** If any members or non-members are not coming with us down South .... PLEASE.. go help out in the Mclean or/and Waiporous area. They will need your help!!!... GET INVOLVE!!! MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!! ***

tonight myself, xjhero and lindz85x took a run out to the gravel pit area and cleaned up about a dozen sites.

we hauled out what we could and pile the rest.... in the meadow south of the gravel pit there is 3-4 piles of garbage that we collected marked by orange garbage bags, so if any on is in that area with a truck could they load it up and haul it out...

Its a mess everywhere... uneducated people and their lack of respect for the areas are making us all look bad.  We shouldn't have to go out there & clean up 6000 lbs of garbage in one weekend because some idiots decide it's cool to leave all their crap there for someone else to pick up.

I will spare you my rant...
