i have afew questions
« on: June 12, 2007, 10:38:32 PM »
ok so its been awhile since ive been on here. first is first, did anyone miss me?? hahaha. anyways on with my list of things.
ill start off with the questions.
1. is there a place around here where i can get a new celeniod for my warn winch?
2. somewhere i can find a cheap NP231 thransfercase?
3. and is there any good exaust kits out for a 91 yj 4L.
and yes they all went within 10 minutes of each other. but man was it fun.  i got stuck in a rut that was almost 4ft. and my 4wheel drive stopped and my winch broke. it was so cold waiting for my ride. 3 full days to get her out of there.
and on a lighter side. i dont know if anyone remembers me talking about rockguarding the jeep...... well i did it. inside and out. and i also painted all my bumpers and fenderflairs silver. i think she looks bad @$$.

id suggest for the exhaust to save for the full out header. from there on try a hi-flow cat, into a muffler of your choice. depends on the sound you want. i have an open chamber type muffler and it sounds raunchy on my '92 YJ. keep an eye on the for sale section. always an np231 for sale. as for the solenoid. to me they look like for starter solenoids. i know you can buy them seperatly. call national 4wd. we may have some on the shelf. or at least point you in the right direction.

To answer your questions

1.  Amperage Tech
2.  Jeep boards or Jeep Stuff
3.  To go an exhaust shop and get a custom high flow exhaust bent.  Ditch the cat or put in a resonator, increase the diameter to 2.25-2.5", get a decent high flow muffler, and make sure all the piping is mendrel bent.  Should cost around $350.  I had mine done at Minute Muffler 5 years ago and has worked great.  Also if you need a new exhaust, re-route the piping down in front of the oil pan and then back to the muffler.

hey thanks guys. and to black YJ, ive already got 2.25", no cat just resonator, but no muffler. gotta love the sound of the inline 6 without a muffler. and also i talked to some guy at amperage and im getting that all set up here next week, and i also found my NP231 out at jeepstuff. get all that in by next week.
