maybe strap a buddy under the jeep and hit 80k, and have him figure out where it is!

Thought u might volunteer for that chris.

Well, I have been known to do some pretty crazy things, that is not on my agenda or to-do list.  :D

i had a trip down to a dealership yesterday. A little birdy there told me that if you want a good shot at getting some warranteed, make your rig SPOTLESS. no mud anywhere, especially undercarriage. Clean out your airfilter too, 'cause that is a tell tale sign. Best of luck to ya.

can it hurt?

I don't image mechanics appreciate hacking through a mud caked underbelly just  to 'take a look' @ your whiney driveline.

well turns out that i only had 3 years of powertrain warrenty, so no go at the dealership, still not sure what it could be...i guess it's only been narrowed down to a gear box whine...

don't you have a 2003? there should be 7yr/140000km power train warrenty.
