Aftermarket tubs range from 1700-2300.

YJ tubs are somewhat interchangeable.Definately be some fab involved.

More important is to check the condition of your frame.

More common swaps are new CJ tubs onto YJ frames, because YJ frames are significantly stronger.

Old CJ tubs in half decent condition are pretty much impossible to find. They werent galvanized, and any that arent rotted out, are on good condition 10,000$ CJ's.

I'd recommend you sheet metal patch what you have, and run it. It doesnt look to bad in the picture. Im guessing its mostly floor, kick panel, and rear wheel well rot you have?

i wish i had taken before pics,,,floors, sides, left rear are toast,,we spent a week fiberglassing and sanding ,,looks ok rite now but i dont think it will last more than a year
iv found aftermarket bodyparts  but a couple of body mounts dont look to healthy ,,but at least the frame is strait and not rotted

so long story ,short,  i am in the market for a new tub, whatever i can get the best deal on

I'll talk to my buddy and see what he comes up with. He's a body man and has priced YJ tubs at his costs. I'll let you know what he comes up with.

I'd research what it takes to get a yj tub in there. My guess is it will be close to 1000$ cheaper.

There is also aquila out in Pentiction that makes aluminum tubs.  I am not sure which applications they make them for but it is worth looking into.

YJ tubs are a straight swap, 2 rear mount holes are different.
YJ fenders are 1.5 inches longer than CJ.

Couple links to the project...

Also Quadratec sells both full steel & alluminum CJ tubs for $2700 US
Aqualu tubs will run you about $3800.

And yes, I've done this swap. 8)
