drive lights remaning on + high beams
« on: June 22, 2007, 11:49:00 AM »
I installed new 4x6 speakers in the front of my jeep yesterday; aside from a new sound, I've also had to deal with my  driving lights and my high beams remaning on while I have the lights plugged in and the triggle which should normally enable light function in the off position. (when they are unplugged, the indash high beam control light remanins on).

I've unplugged every single fuse in the glovebox - no responce. I'm assuming it has to do with a light censor, but where and how do I get at it + what do I do?

If this problem has happened to you before, what did you do and how do you resolve it?

All help is appreciated.

Unplug your DRL (Daytime running light module). Most likely the problem. It's mounted on the inside driver fender near the rad. Look around for it- a box about 3"X3". When you unplug it you won't have any daytime lights and the highbeam indicator won't work when you have your highbeams on, but that doesn't bother me.
