Mclean Cleanup - Sat July 7

Well there's still crap out there .  Most people feel like giving up right now because of a recent kick to the nutz. However our irresponsible politicans and lazy SRD are not gonna break our community! Erin and I will be going to pick up junk and fix some trails.  I'm taking the buggy since I haven't wheeled in 5 or so years and make a weekend out of it. All these bullies that want to ban us are going to have to fine us for fixing what they have allowed to happen . I can't wait to go to court and fight a fine for fixing trails without their permission. With a monster truck.

Any and all help is more than welcome. Just tread lightly,  avoid tearing up the vegetation , stay on trail and be responsible.

9am, Saturday, July 7 - meet at the Mclean store

We have one week to come up with what we are going to do to fix our trails... start posting.

We will also be camping overnight at the Mclean campground if anyone would like to join us.

We need pickups to take the garbage down to the dumpsters or out to the dump, we have lots of AURS garbage bags, please bring gloves and rain gear just incase.  Cameras are more than welcome!

See you there!!!

I'll be there to help.
To reply to Clay's comments. I don't think anyone will have issues with us doing minor trail repairs. The bigger issues are doing the larger projects such as bridge building/stream diversions. Or anything to do with affecting the watershed issues around the streams and river banks.
If we fix a few holes and repair fences I'm sure that will be appreciated by everyone.
I used to have an open mind but my brains kept falling out.

Awesome, thanks!  Pass this on... we need a lot more people this time.  The cleanup after the may long only produced 7 people in total for Mclean & we only got Fisher East done so it would be great to have more help this time.

Thanks for pinning this!!

I can’t think of the spot you talking about at the moment Ian but I am willing to help you apply for a FTA.  We will need photos, accurate description of the location and a plan including equipment materials and safety issues. If it’s minor SRD may say we don’t need one but we have to ask first. If it’s a larger project then it needs to be in writing so SRD can approve of the work plan. Lets take a drive out to see the site after work next week.

I think helping with a clean up next weekend in Mclean is a good idea.  I will need to check my schedule and check family commitments but will try to make it out for a few hours if someone wants to organize this one. My schedule is to full next week to be the lead on this one.

Do we have a volunteer that wants to plan where, when, who and what you need?

Bump... we need volunteers!! It's always the same guys and gals showing up to the clean ups.

Please do it... event if you are fumed off at the government and at the Yahoos that cause the problem out there.

Just do it to support Clay and Erin from EVO that gave lots of their time to clean up people's mess. Like Clay said... he doesn't even wheel that much but he'll be there cleaning.  Times have change... there is lots of irresposable people out there that come for the long week-end to trash the place. If it continue like that,... trails will close like in Indian Grave and Waiporous... let's try to keep what we have open if we can.

Thank you for the support :D

I will try to get out on saturday as well

Also Erin, have you contacted any of the media about what is happening?  Is the SRD aware of it as well?

Just wrote an email to the contact at the Herald who published the latest article about Indian Graves.  I have invited her & the media out on Sat.  Hopefully they can make it!!

Clay will be bringing the Warthog to prove that "Monster Trucks" are good guys too...

just email global new room and let them know what you have planned and they will get back to you if they feel that it is a story or not.... that is what i did for IG( may long ) and it worked..... yes the first few reports had the postive spin that i was looking for but i keep seeing that footage over and over twisted around to show the crappy side. i guess they willl report what will give them the ratings they are looking for whether it is good or bad
