Hello....

Hey guys, thought I'd say hi. My name is Scott and I've finally become a member of the Four Wheel Stampeders. The guys were saying I should sign up here, and I've actually been a member of the forums for a while.

I'm currently working on my '97 Ranger after an encounter with an acura, and it's going to be receiving a 4" skyjacker lift kit, 33" MTZ's, 4.56's, and maybe a locker. I know....a ford, I'm probably going to get some flack for it, but it comes with the teritory i guess. LOL.

Welcome to the forum and yes we many of us will take the opportunity on occasion to slag your non jeep vehicle. But I won’t today.

I think I meet you on the bridge building project in the spring. Thanks for coming out to help with that event.

Good luck with the truck modifications.

Well...I think I'm going to keep the ranger for a while. It's impressed me alot even stock. It's a regular cab, short box (108" wheelbase), 4.0L, manual transmission, manual transfer case. I've got a CB & VHF/UHF radios, and a front winch bumper is in the works. I will be making a rear bumper and sliders for the sides as well when the body work is done.

Stock, screwing around...

This is what I was working on when I ran into that acura....

The damage after the accident...

and how it's sitting right now...

It's off to a shop to get the inner fender and rad support fixed, and I'm collecting all the front end parts I need to finish it off. The lift kit should be here in the next week and a half, and I've got gears on order to fill the front diff and the back are already here. I'm going to fill the fenders with 33" Mickey Thompson MTZ's.
