Has anyone installed a Taurus electric fan? Do I hook it straight up to a power source. Or is there more involved here.  I was just thinking of connecting it to a power source that is on while ignition is on and put in a on/off switch.

My thoughts on this.

You would want a thermal switch to activate this automatically.
The fan draws a lot of current .. relays would be needed.

It would be too easy to forget to switch it on.

An additional thought...

Although they are good fans, any that are left in a junkyard are more than ten years old and probably will not be good for very long, be it bad brushes, corroded parts or just plain worn out.  I'd go aftermarket if you can afford it.
