Random coolant leak..?

Started my 91 XJ today when it was pretty cold out, pulled in the garage and shut it off. While later I noticed coolant leaking out of the lower rad hose..both at the block and the rad. I replaced this hose 5 months ago.

Think the coolant just overheated or something and bulged the hose causing a leak? Seems to have stopped now..

keep an eye on it. at this time of year ive seen minor coolant leaks form due to the temp change. crimps on rads at the tanks, hoses at the clamps. usually nothing serious. and it usually stops when the temp stays cold.

Ok thanks for the replies, it looks like its stopped so Ill re-tighten the clamps and keep my eye on it.  :)

these days even new cars off the lot have an anti leak additive in the coolant, I've used a "prestone" brand additive that cured a minor leak at the upper hose fitting neck after replacing the hose 5+ years ago ... it seems when I twisted the hose off it caused an issue with the fitting  which appears to be "pressed" into the rad body ...

this stuff wont fix major issues but a minor microscopic pin hole is plugged fast ...

redo when you do a coolant change ... cdn tire < $10
