Wow another person that's quicker than me for posting pictures. Great shots Tom.

Despite the -21 temperature this morning we had an awesome turnout. I guess when the temperatures start out that cold a person just makes up their mind to attend this event knowing that the less fortunate people, kids especially might be stuck in the hospital for the season, so it’s just a small thing our 4x4 community can put back into our city.

Thank you so much to all the people that came out to support this event. Word of mouth is the key to communication and this close knit community can sure get the word around quite nicely about something like this. It means so much to our club to have the support from all the other clubs as well as the individuals that either saw the posters or simply read it on the forum boards of our local wheelers.
Calgary Jeep Association showed up with a large group of people from their club, and other clubs like Rocky Mountain Big Wheels, Rocky Mountain Land Cruiser Association, Calgary Nissan Club, and Ground Pounders all showing up for the event. Other boards like BompBomp, 4 wheeler .ca  and of course Dean Folk from Folk Automotive showing up in the CJ92  ambulance that’s all decked out so nicely. I’m sure I’ve missed somebody in that group but thanks to those as well.

Donations were all extremely appreciated. Budget Waste Inc for the two toilets at the Hospital, Dave at Tim Horton’s on Bannister Road for pitching in with the hot chocolate, coffee, and donuts.
Rey Koop Good Year Canada Inc from Cochrane. Barbecue set, a Good Year Clock, and a great fishing kit. Awesome prizes.

Gary Kenndy @ Aardvark Industrial for the great denim jackets. With all these great prizes I’m sure more people will decorate next year.

Calgary Tow Master for sending a tow rig into the convoy just incase someone broke down. If they did they would load them up and haul them to the hospital so they could still finish the event with us.
Thanks to CJ92 for plugging the event on the radio the odd time. Airdre newspaper for the article in the paper last week or two ago.

And it goes without saying, thanks to the many Four Wheel Stampeders that pitched in to make it all come together.

The biggest thanks goes to the Calgary City Police traffic division who made the entire convoy go off with out any flaws at all. It’s a big under taking with that professionalism that can get that many rigs thru so many intersections with no issues at all.

Our last count for rigs today was 62…thanks again guys.

Very nice to see some familiar faces again.  You did a great job Gunther!  Special thanks to the CPS for standing out there in the cold & yelling at the cars who were trying to sneak into the lineup.

I have 5 Jeeps & still brought my smart car
