regular battery or spiral wrap?
« on: January 07, 2008, 10:08:21 PM »
I've got an 02 TJ Sport with the 4L and the battery is finally getting weak, most likely due to me slightly abusing it listening to the radio with the engine off.  I don't have much for extras like more lights or a winch but do have a 300W rms amp.  I kinda like the idea of the optimas because they arn't supposed to corrode like one that is in there now.  As well, I'm sure having a more solid battery wouldn't hurt seeing as how it rides pretty rough over bumps.

Any thoughts on a regular battery or optima, red or yellow top?
This is not 'Nam, this is wheeling.  There are rules.

may find deep cycle would work best for your kind of useage, may find it's not going to be worth the extra money.

Spiral wrap batteries are better off road than regular, In a regular battery the bouncing around can cause problems.
More money but worth it in my opinion, whatever that is worth ;)
I used to have an open mind but my brains kept falling out.
