Good mod for any jeep

It wouldnt be hard to damage your LCA mounts. one hit with a rock and the mounts could bend over.

I built some lower control arm skids and welded them on this weekend. 10x times better now. Can drive them over bolders if i want now.

After I welded them on. Sprayed it with rockgaurd after. Not the greatest pic. You cant see but the skid curls under the bottom aswell.

I did the same thing when I still had the D30 in my XJ after bashing up the driver's side lower axle mount. In fast I believe that happened racing down a frozen creek on CJA's VERY first run!

I used a piece of channel iron that was just a bit wider than the mount. Watch if you are still running the stock arms as the stock  are "taller" and will bind.

On D44 I built I moved the lower mounts up onto the backside of the tube.
