Ramsey Winches

Doing research for a friend.

I am doing some research on the Ramsey line of winches, and I thought I'd check the local, trustable, group of wheelers.
Anyone out here running Ramsey? Any problems? How do you like it?

Been around for a long time, they work...I would rank it with a Champion.

Personally I'd have to give the Ramsay a better rating than the Champion.  Ramsay would be pretty close to maybe Mile Marker or perhaps the Superwinch.  I myself ended up researching looking for a winch that compared to the Warn XD9000i & ended up buying the Superwinch Epi9000.  According to specifications the Superwinch is 'superior' to the Warn & $500-600 less.  There is a 'winch shootout' write-up on one of the 4x4 websites somewhere but I can't remember which one at the moment .  If I had to do it again I'd still go Epi9000 Superwinch all day long!!!!

I wouldn't ratte it with the Superwinch...mile marker maybe.

Great Article, and I am not just saying that because I have the Supper Winch. Well maybe am. LOL
