Proportioning Valve

For those that have done the  disc brake conversion for the rear, did you find it necessary to add an adjustable proportioning valve to the brake system or was the braking ample all the way around?

I'm just starting to install all my old lines on the project but figured I'd hold off till I find  out for sure.

When I installed my 8.8 I removed the seal on the shaft in the proportioning valve. Works fine now.

whan i was at national i did a disc brake conversion on a tj. all the instructions said to do was remove a seal and spring from the fron of the prop valve. the kit came from ssbc. email them for the instructions.

i've done a few 8.8 swaps, in xjs and yjs and never had to touch the proportioning valve.  brakes worked great!

Mine is the AMC20 in an '84 CJ7 but I think I might just try it first. Just didn't want to loss the oportunity to plumb it all easier when I'm at this stage.

I did not touch my braking system with my 8.8 was installed.
