transfer case?

i have a 92 YJ 2.5 liter and im prety sure the transfer case is screwed, so i was wondering if i can use another on from a 4.2 liter or a 4.0 liter YJ.  any info would help or if someone has one that will work for me that would be cool too!!

same Tcase but the spline count is different

You can use one from a 4>0l, but you'll need a bellhousing from a Dakota for it.  Do a search on Pirate 4x4...it's been done before.
`48 CJ2A, `54 CJ3B, `97 TJ, and 03 WJ...batting close to .500 when it comes to jeep models owned vs. jeep models created.....

As states above the t-case are all the same but the input shafts are different in terms of length and spline count.  A t-case from a YJ or TJ with a 4 banger and manual will work as well as a t-case of a YJ with a 4.2L manual I believe.
