XJ cruise control
« on: June 05, 2008, 06:48:06 PM »
Hey,
My old xj that i rolled had cruise control in it, and the new xj that i bought doesn't. They are both 98's, and I was wondering if anyone has done a cruise control swap. I would like to do it because the one I rolled was a standard, so it was basically useless, but the new xj is an auto, so cruise on the new one would make more sense. So if anyone has any input at all it would be appreciated.
thanks
-adam

The cruse in my 95 Cherokee doesn’t work all that well so I am taking it out and putting a thumb control in. Instead of buying the kit I was able to get all the parts for $12 at a local pedal bike shop.
Why does your Jeep say Toyota on it?
The obstacle is the path.

I did a cruise install in my 98 xj that had no cruise.  had to install steering wheel switches, steering column clockspring, and install the cruise module/throttle control.  All the underhood wiring was there, and it took me a total of 15 minutes to do it.  Feel free to ask any questions, i'll try to remember the answers as it was over a year ago since I did the install :)
