The Proposed Land-use Framework Needs Your Voice

Feedback Survey

http://www.banister.ab.ca/landfpfs/)

WHY? Land-use is a key component of sustainable development. A well thought
out plan is in the best interest of all stakeholders.

What is the Draft Land-use Framework?

After a year of effort on behalf of four multi-stakeholder working groups,
the Government of Alberta used their input to develop a Draft Land Use
Framework. On May 21, the Government of Alberta released the proposed Draft
Land Use Framework ( <http://www.landuse.alberta.ca/>
http://www.landuse.alberta.ca/). This important new provincial policy will
profoundly effect how land and water are used in the future. It outlines a
new system for land-use in the province.

Why is your input important?

Public response to this document will be seen as an indicator of whether or
not Albertans are supportive of the Land-use Framework...whether Albertans
are supportive of change and action.

Without public backing for the Land-use Framework the result could be - a
'business as usual' scenario. For the Land-use Framework to be implemented,
the government must receive a clear message from the public that they
support this policy initiative.

Your feedback is critical for ensuring the final Land-use Framework reflects
the views of a broad cross-section of Albertans.
