Why won't this site work with Firefox?
« on: June 22, 2008, 07:36:44 PM »
I get this error when I try to access CJA with Firefox:

Not Acceptable

An appropriate representation of the requested resource / could not be found on this server.
Apache/2.2.9 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.9 OpenSSL/0.9.8b mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 Server at forum.calgaryjeep.com Port 80

Yet I switch over to explorer and its fine.

I'm running 2.0.0.14 of FireFox and the site works in that version.  What version of FireFox are you using?

I get that error on the Gallery page when I try to open pics, but it's in both IE7 and FF3. No problems anywhere else on the site.

Hmm weird, I'm running 20014 as well. The only other odd things I've noticed is that it won't access Kijji either and it won't remember me when I come to a site, I always have to manually log in. Netscape used to log me in automatically.'

<sigh> I miss Netscape.  :'(

clay, you'll have to mess with the security settings.  They assume now a days that you want high security, so they block all that junk.  If you don't mind your hard drive filling up with cookies and such you'll have to turn all that blocking off.  Then it will remember you... also, Firefox IS Netscape... well actually Netscape was Firefox... if Netscape was still around you'd be having the same issue...  :)
