5sp 3rd gear help

AX5 tranny

Was working just fine until about 2 days ago

prob: after it warms up, 3rd gear syncro doesn't seem to syncro much at all, when cold, it's perfectly fine for abotu 20-30 mins,.. then gradually gets worse.

Is it possibly oil change time?

Sounds more like the synchros are on their way out 
AX5s are not the best for wheeling........start putting bigger tires on em and off roading ....accelerates the wear.
 Possibly rebuild or replacement time soon.

damn,.. wasn't ready to fix yet,.. meh,.. I'll run it till I absolutely can't use 3rd then

Maybe just start watching for an AX15.........then swap em out

I changed the oil anyways

definitely helped, but the downshift is touchy.

meh,.. It works just fine when I double clutch 3rd
