So...who's planning on a Saturday run this weekend?

I have to drive to Edmonton on Sunday, but I'd like to get in a last day of getting dirty prior to heading back to work  ;D
I followed a rainbow out to a garage and found a leprichaun. The rainbow ended in a potted cactus on his porch, but there was no gold :(

That would be new territory for me, as I've only been out to McLean creek so far. I'm running a stock 4 door JK Rubicon...will I slow you down?

The other question I have is....if we're likely to get into ugly muddy stuff, is there someone with a winch? Tow straps are good for the odd tug, but there's no substitute for a good winch when things get ugly.

Well, our family day is Sunday, so the Nickster and I would perhaps be game to go out, since that' s a trail I may never have been down, or it's been a few years and I'd love to get 'er done before it closes.

w squared & Shearcon....Waip/Ghost would make for a good run for you. Little bit of everything, but nothing stupidly outrageous.
Out to the Falls from Meadow creek, would invole some climbing, river crossings, possibly some mudholes ( if we get some rain) , rocks etc.
Plan on lunch (bbq) style at the falls, and we could even hit Margret lake on the way back. If weather permits go topless as the scenery towards the Falls is awsome !!! ;)
Pat...you got that overheating problem solved ??? ???

The only overheat problem was due to that stupid temperature sensor having backed out of the rad.

I haven't put silicone on the tip of the sensor to keep it in place yet. It only seems to back out on the trail, but I'll have it on by the weekend :)  I was working on the manual override switch to the module today... I can set it for ON (full-blast), OFF (for water crossings) and AUTO (the way it runs without the override switch).

I'll toss more gear in for the longer run tho... like a tent, sleeping bags, lots more water... super soaker etc. hehe..

Seems liek a reasonable group coming together :)

How long a day are we looking at here? I'm thinking that I may be bringing a couple of off-road novices with me as passengers, and I want to make sure that it is a positive experience for them...not excessively long.

No repeats of our last Fisher East run  :o

We can either meet up at Smitty's in Cochrane around 9am, or the Gravel pit off the trunk road........we could do Meadow Creek trail, up to the Falls (stop for lunch), Margret lake and you will still be home for supper !!!

saturday may work for me also, i'd be up for meeting at the smity's in cochrane.

so i went to the dealership, and they said the reason i was over heating, was due to mud between the rad and condenser. they wanted to charge me $200 to clean it. I told them i would clean it my self, and they looked at me like i was crazy. I looked at them and said all i need is a water hose, a chair, and 30 mins. They must of thought, what a stupid kid. LOL

Hey all,
a fellow jeeper from Ontario that moved to NWT is coming into town this week.
i work Saturday but i know he would love to go wheelin and especially see the route you guys/gals are taking.
He has transportation to a meeting place in Cochrane.
Is there anyone that would let him be a passenger? He has high recommendations as a good guy from the Jeepkings website out of Ontario.
He will be staying at my place this weekend.
Let me know, it would be a highlight for him, for sure.
Thanks
Tom
