Land Issues, Trail Projects & Trail Stewardship / Recreational Stewardship Fair - McLean Creek
« Last post by MattMan on June 26, 2023, 10:29:04 AM »Good Morning!
We're looking for a couple volunteers for the 3rd Annual Recreational Stewardship Fair and we need your help!
What is a Recreational Stewardship Fair?
They are an outdoor public event that gives people who use the backcountry a chance to learn some basic principles, skills, and interesting facts about our backcountry. We believe that information is the best way to help conserve our trails.
What we need:
Trails 4 Tomorrow will support getting us all the information to get to the event. They need 1-2 clubs per event to sign up to have a booth and show the public how 4 wheel drive users are stewards of the land. We need you to talk about things like how to air down your tires and why, why use a tree saver, or packing out what you brought in (just to name a few!).
This is the 4WD community’s chance to pass on information that could be useful to new people using the trails, educate the general public on how awesome 4WD folks are, and make a real impact in conserving and improving our trail systems. Feedback from the clubs that participated last year were that the Fairs were a fun and exciting way to help people understand the 4WD community.
This year we're looking to attend the McLean Creek event:
Location: Fisher East Staging Area in McLean PLUZ
Date: August 12, 2023
Time 10am - 3pm
Please post up if you are interested.
Thanks!

« Last post by MattMan on June 25, 2023, 07:53:24 PM »Well I want to officially thank all that made it out on Saturday and all of our sponsors who helped make this event a success!
- KMS Tools for hosting, T4T and Craze Outdoors for joining us under the tents and then all the rest of our prize providers…
- Crowfoot Dodge
- TFT off-road
- Action car and truck accessories
- Courtesy Chrysler
- Tower Chrysler
- South Trail Chrysler
- Cravings Market/Restaurant
This was our first since pre-pandemic so we were unsure of what to expect. Attendance was a little softer than our 2019 event but it made for all attendees to walk away with a door prize.
For those who were not able to attend, stay tuned for our upcoming “Off-Road 101” announcement!
See you all next year!!

« Last post by Jason Walker on June 25, 2023, 02:29:34 PM »If you find one can you please let me know. Mine gets to 122C for coolant temp. I’ve had the water pump replaced( separate issue) and thermostat, coolant temp sensor and radiator fan replaced $$$$. Still runs hot and fan runs and runs. I am at a loss.

Tech Talk / Still running hot.
« Last post by Zooguy on June 24, 2023, 02:57:01 PM »I had some good advice at the Jeep show to seal up the gaps around my radiator so more air can flow through it. I sealed it up quite tight but the temperature still went to 230.
Can anyone suggest a mechanic that might have some experience with over heating? I am pretty much out of ideas and patience. Thanks in advance.

Tech Talk / Radiator Fan running steady
« Last post by Jason Walker on June 23, 2023, 10:14:46 PM »So haven’t been on here in a while but in need of some help. Coolant temp is running between 107 and 122C. Fan turns on and runs constantly. Had water pump replaced as it had a hole. Thermostat was replaced. Coolant temp sensor replaced. Took to shop and they had said needs a new radiator fan as it was only running on high. Replaced the fan $$$$. Have cleaned the radiator. Fan runs steady until I turn the Jeep off. Coolant Temp while driving at 100km/hr gets up. Can’t even go through a drive through as cannot hear them due to fan not stopping.
Looking for any advice for next steps because it is draining me of $$$.
